Dale Hoie
July 14th, 2022
Congratulations to Dale Hoie, who has come out of retirement on more than several occasions to stay busy operating our self-loading log truck, even on his 79th birthday.
With some encouragement from his father, Dale started at South Coast the day after he graduated high school back in 1961. He worked in many different facets until he started driving dump truck and hauling logs in the late ’60s.
In Dale’s distinguishable story-telling voice, he expresses that he has no regrets for the time he has put into the company and that he has “worked with some of the best people that God has put on this earth.”
Growing up with the Fallerts, Dale has numerous stories that he could spend hours narrating. He could certainly add ‘SCL historian’ to his credentials at this point!
Now that he’s officially retired, Dale plans on spending his time whooping up on pickle ballers and cruising around in his jet boat. Dale, we’d like to thank you for all your hard work and valued time that you have put in over the years!
