FSC
The Forest Stewardship Council has developed a set of 10 principles and 70 different criteria that apply to FSC-certified forests around the world, all of which promote environmentally friendly management tactics. When products are FSC certified, that means they come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.

The Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau is a non-profit lumber and wood products inspection and certification agency. They provide lumber-grading and grade-stamping services for the lumber industry.

The APA was founded in 1933 as the Douglas Fir Plywood Association. Later, it was recognized as the American Plywood Association. In 1994, they decided to change their title to “APA – The Engineered Wood Association” because it was a better representation of the diverse range of products manufactured by members. APA benefits the industry by continuing to provide new resources aiding in creating structural wood products that we can rely on.

The North American Wholesale Lumber Association was founded in 1893. They continuously work towards the expansion and success of each aspect of the lumber industry. NAWLA creates opportunities to build relationships and learn different perspectives leading to more successful companies all over.

AMERICAN FOREST RESOURCE COUNCIL (AFRC)
The American Forest Resource Council is a regional trade association that advocates for sustained yield timber harvests on public timberlands throughout the West to enhance forest health and resistance to fire, insects, and disease. Their membership is made up of manufacturers and companies that work directly in or represent the forest products industry.
SOFTWOOD LUMBER BOARD
The Softwood Lumber Board is an industry-funded initiative established to promote the benefits and uses of softwood lumber products in outdoor, residential, and non-residential construction. The programs and initiatives supported by the SLB will focus on increasing the demand for appearance and softwood lumber products in the United States.
